RTV Puls: After thefts, two Serb houses stoned in Vitina

Two Serb houses were stoned last night in the centre of Vitina, according to reports by local media, RTV Puls. The incident was immediately reported to Kosovo Police.

The houses are owned by Slobodanka Savic and Aleksandar Jacovic, (a police detective), whose car was also damaged and the windshield broken. No injuries were reported.

After the March 2004 violence, some 40 Serbs have remained living in Vitina.

This is the second reported incident in this municipality in the past two days. As Tanjug reported earlier, citing municipal official Sladjan Nikolic, a „Fiat-Punto“ vehicle owned by Nebojsa Stankovic was stolen, a cow owned by Zoran Nisic was also stolen while the attempted robbery of a bull owned by Danilo Stevic were all reported to have taken place on the same night.

Serb media have continuously reported in recent times on the more frequent incidents in Kosovo Serb areas, mostly south of the Ibar River.
