The Serbian Association of Journalists (UNS) on Thursday called prosecutors to investigate an offensive video posted on Twitter which labels investigative journalists and media as traitors and foreign mercenaries.
A statement said that UNS staff were astonished by the offensive content of the video which labeled BIRN journalist Slobodan Georgiev as well as the CINS and KRIK investigative journalism portals as traitors “paid to spit on (Serbian President Aleksandar) Vucic”.
The video starts with the words How to Recognize a Traitor and is composed of excerpts from an interview by Georgiev and pictures of headlines from the pro-Vucic press alleging huge payouts to speak out against Vucic and clips of Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj inserted into it. The caption under the post claims that Georgiev admitted that he was publishes lies.

The UNS also expressed concern over the increasingly frequent insults directed at journalists at the Istraga portal including threats against journalists Sanja Kljajic, Vanja Djuric and Milena Popovic.
The statement said that dissatisfaction with what journalists do cannot be expressed through threats, assaults and insults.
