The Basic Court in Pristina has remanded 30 people in custody for one-month that were arrested in the Kosovo Police action on May 28th. They are suspected of organizing a criminal group, abuse of office, bribery, and smuggling of goods.
Lawyer Nebojsa Vlajic confirmed for KoSSev that the Basic Court in Pristina – at the Prosecution’s proposal – remanded in custody today 30 people (16 Albanians, 11 Serbs, and 3 Bosniaks) suspected of organizing a criminal group allegedly engaged in the illegal smuggling of goods, bribery, evading customs and tax charges.
Vlajic said that their detention was ordered because of the alleged danger of escape and the danger of them influencing witnesses or accomplices and interfering with criminal proceedings.
