„You don’t want ethnic boundaries? You don’t want a demarcation with the Albanians? Well, no problem, tell people to get ready for Vranje in about 40-50 years „; „We don’t want ethnic boundaries, but we want the Kosovo state, an Albanian state in Kosovo, to pay €650,000 for our church. That’s what we want,“ this is how the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic commented on the latest appeal of the Bishop of Raska-Prizren Teodosije against either partition or the exchange of territories.
The world powers and foreign services have the same transcribed argument
In response to journalist’s citing the appeal by Bishop Teodosije, „as any other land swap or partition in history this one would bring about a massive displacement of the civilian population, destruction of centuries old spiritual and cultural heritage of our people and would cause irreparable damage to all,“ Vucic said:
„I will not answer in detail yet, but I will respond to everyone. Everyone in Serbia, everyone in the world. I will unambiguously say to everyone in Serbia who are these world powers and these foreign services that have the same transcribed argument. We don’t want ethnic boundaries, but we want the Kosovo state, the Albanian state in Kosovo, to pay 650,000 euros for our church. That’s what we want. That non-existent state.“
He will not wash his hands ‘like (Pontius) Pilate’: „No one will give us partition, nor anything like it“
Although he said that „he will talk about everything some other time“ and that „unlike others, he will not wash his hands ‘like (Pontius) Pilate’,“ Vucic added:
„No one will grant us partition, nor anything like it. They will not give us anything, let me tell you. Those who are afraid, are not afraid because of this, but they want to make it impossible for Serbia to achieve any success, at anytime. They want to make it impossible for Serbia to dedicate itself to its future; they all want to be safer today, what about tomorrow? Who cares about tomorrow, are we going to have a future? Are we going to have children or not? They don’t care. I guess it is better to have nothing, than to have something. “
„We don’t stand a chance of getting anything“
The Serbian President further assessed that „many before him had greater chances, and they did nothing“.
„Today, we don’t stand a chance of getting anything. For the little we fight for, if somebody wants to say that we do not need that, then Serbs, don’t take it. Well, there is no problem. I’m telling you now. In 20 years we will lose everything, we will have nothing,“ he underlined.

The President, after laying the foundation stone for the construction of a factory in Preljina, listed the towns in which, as he claimed, he has brought factories. He also told journalists that everyone is pretending to be „eyeless, deaf, blind in the eyes“; „everyone is a hypocrite“ and that „if they want to bring him down, let them bring him down“.

I cannot tell you now, but I will say it in my address, whether I propose a solution, whether I’m saying goodbye to trying to propose a solution to the Serbs – I will definitely tell people exactly how many (people) are living in Kosovo today, and not the lies that you can read. So that you can hear how many of us are emigrating on a daily basis. What do you think, in which country these people think they live in, and which papers do they have?“
„It’s painful“, but 90 percent of Serbs in the south have Kosovo papers
„It’s painful to say, but do not tell me it’s not true. Well, 90 percent of people living south of the Ibar have Kosovo papers, next to our Serbian papers,” Vucic said.
„Some of you don’t know this? Is this news for any of you? Is this surprising for you? It appears it isn’t. We like to stick our heads in the sand like ostriches,“the Serbian President concluded.
He does not know whether he will unveil a proposal
Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary since the start of the internal dialogue. The results have still not been announced, and even after proclamations, the Serbian President did not unveil a proposal for Kosovo.
When asked by an N1 journalist when he will unveil a proposal for resolving the Kosovo issue, the Serbian President said:
„I do not know if I will unveil a proposal. I could unveil a proposal if I could reach an agreement about something with someone. So far, I could not reach an agreement with the Albanians. “
So there were no results of the internal dialogue?
„It’s not true that there were no results. As you can see, this is also a result of the internal dialogue. You have been saying the entire time there is no internal dialogue. There is an internal dialogue. And this is an internal dialogue. I understand. All those who shouted until yesterday, even you from N1 – that the Kosovo knot needs to be solved, I realize that the Kosovo knot should not be resolved now, and that this is the best opportunity to politically remove Vucic’s head,“ the President replied.
