The President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic claimed today a necessity to establish a border with Kosovo because „he does not know where the border is and what the border is at present“.
„I know what is written in front of us, but once I am on the way to Kosovo, another border is ahead of me,“ said Vucic during his visit to the Serbian University Clinical Centre.
Vucic repeated for several times that „Serbs and Albanians are far from any compromise solution“.
„When you are talking to someone about details, especially on several sides, never say anything until you have something in your hands and I have nothing in my hands which would be acceptable for any side,“ Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said, responding to a journalist’s question about his plan for Kosovo.
Vucic told the public yesterday that he unveiled this plan in Brussels, but that „people in Brussels and Pristina“ rejected his „ideas“. He, however, failed to provide any details.
When asked today by an Insajder journalist what did he unveil in Brussels and what are the details of the plan presented to leaders in Brussels and Pristina, Vucic replied that he “did not say it in that way” and that the journalist „did not listen to him carefully“.
Vucic also said that these are “details” and “shades” which, he added, many of his colleagues also did not understand.

Insajder also posed a question to Vucic in what capacity he addresses the public while accusing certain politicians and labeling citizens as well – as the President of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) or the President of Serbia. „You cannot, nor can anyone else, deprive me of the right to have eyes, ears and to be allowed to speak,“ Aleksandar Vucic replied. The Insajder journalist microphone was switched off, although she asked follow up questions which Vucic continued to address, it was reported.
Vucic underlined that he is looking for a compromise that would be „painful and difficult for both sides“, but which would also mean „that both sides may be somewhat satisfied.“
When asked whether 11th November in Paris, Armistice Day, will be the decision-making day on the Kosovo issue? Vucic replied that it is “absolutely unrealistic”.
He refuted media allegations on an agreed solution to Kosovo between Sergey Lavrov and John Bolton, adding that he himself had received a message from Lavrov confirming that this was incorrect.

Vucic reiterated his concern over the formation of the Kosovo Army and reminded the public that others have “their own interests and agenda” on the issue of Kosovo.
„From their point of view, they did not bomb us in 1999 for nothing, from their point of view, they did not declare Kosovo’s independence in 2008 for nothing. And to let everything happen without them now, who would be so naive to believe in this?“ Vucic emphasized.
