„We are witnessing the abuse of one political party against an ethnic community,“ said Rada Trajković, President of the European Movement of Serbs in Kosovo, commenting on yesterday’s events, specifically the visit of Minister Sveçla to North Mitrovica.
Trajković shared a video of the minister’s most recent visit to the north, noting that this action likely does not have the approval of the majority of Kosovo’s Albanian population.
She further raised concerns about the increasing number of Albanian-owned businesses being opened in the predominantly Serbian North, claiming that these businesses are linked to the ruling Self-Determination Movement (Vetëvendosje).
„The owners of these businesses are mostly members of Vetëvendosje, and their opening in the North feels like a direct affront to the Serbs,“ Trajković stated.
The Kosovo Serb politician expressed similar views regarding the frequent visits by ministers from Pristina, describing them as provocations designed to stir ethnic tensions.
„This is not something that the majority of Kosovo Albanians would support,“ she added.

Trajković also addressed the arrest of Aleksandar Arsenijević, leader of the Serbian Democratic Party (SD), who was detained shortly before Sveçla’s visit.
Arsenijević had been peacefully protesting by blowing a whistle outside the Missini café, where the mayor of North Mitrovica, Erden Atić, was present.
„Five police officers (in uniform and plainclothes) against an unarmed man with a whistle“ – reads Trajković’s take of Arsenijević’s detainment.
Minister Sveçla’s remarks about the frequent visits to the North also caught Trajković’s attention. When questioned by a KoSSev reporter about the reasons behind the increased visits, Sveçla responded, „In the past, you had Milan Radoičić.“
He went on to explain that his previous visits were focused on dismantling Radoičić’s criminal group and ensuring the region’s safety.
Trajković found this statement intriguing, suggesting that Sveçla may be unintentionally promoting Radoičić among Serbian nationalists.
„It’s interesting that the Minister is giving Radoičić publicity among Serbian nationalists,“ Trajković commented on the social media platform X.
