The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AGK) has strongly condemned the behavior of Radoica Radomirović, a candidate for the municipal assembly of Leposavic, toward the newsroom of the KoSSev portal in North Mitrovica.
In a statement issued today, AGK described Radomirović’s conduct as a “direct and intimidating message directed at the professional work of journalists.” The association called on him to apologize to KoSSev and appealed to all politicians to treat journalists and the media with responsibility, especially during the pre-election campaign.
Radomirović, a former deputy minister in the Kosovo government and the list holder of the “Novo lice – Narodna pravda” party in Leposavic, reacted angrily on Monday to a KoSSev journalist’s question following an address in North Mitrovica by Serbian MP Miloš Parandilović.
After KoSSev’s editor-in-chief Tatjana Lazarević sent a formal protest note over what she described as inappropriate pressure on the media, Radomirović responded with insults, accusing the outlet of being an “outpost of the criminal organization SL.“
Just hours after KoSSev reported on the incident, Radomirović issued his own statement via an unsigned and untitled email sent to Lazarević. In it, he accused the portal of manipulating the public and demanded that their entire exchange of messages be published—a request KoSSev fulfilled.

In its reaction today, AGK urged Radomirović to reconsider his words and issue a public apology.
“AGK calls on him, as well as all politicians, to act responsibly toward the media and journalists, particularly during this pre-election period,” the association concluded.
