Radoica Radomirović, a former deputy minister in the Kosovo government and candidate for the Leposavic municipal assembly on the ticket of Novo lice – Narodna pravda (“New Face – People’s Justice”), i.e. list holder, lashed out at a KoSSev reporter following a press conference in North Mitrovica on Sunday.
The incident occurred after Serbian MP Miloš Parandilović addressed local media and walked through the city center alongside candidates from the same initiative, voicing support ahead of the upcoming local elections.
From downtown North Mitrovica, Parandilović declared that “there will be no salvation for Serbs until they free themselves from Srpska lista and Milan Radoičić.”
He also answered questions from journalists, including from KoSSev. Asked why, as a vocal critic of both Albin Kurti’s and Aleksandar Vučić’s policies, he chose to support an initiative whose official had previously served in a Vetëvendosje-run municipality, Parandilović replied that “no one is without sin,” describing the candidates instead as offering “an alternative and freedom in a time of evil.”
On another question—why he had not joined the student-led call earlier this summer for MPs to boycott parliament while retaining their mandates—he said such a move would “only give more room to Vučić’s regime,” insisting that he alone decides how to use his mandate.
Confrontation With KoSSev
Once the official press appearance ended—conducted in what was described as a professional atmosphere—and after the KoSSev reporter switched off her camera, Radomirović approached her angrily.
Why didn’t you ask why we were in the municipality? Why didn’t you ask about the €200,000 in embezzled money? – he demanded in a raised tone.
Notably, the reporter’s question to Parandilović had not mentioned Radomirović at all, but rather another municipal official.
Given the reporter’s young age and her evident distress, KoSSev initially chose not to report on the incident. Instead, editor-in-chief Tatjana Lazarević addressed the matter in writing, sending Radomirović a protest note condemning the inappropriate pressure exerted on her newsroom. She also expressed hope that he, as a political figure in campaign season, would show responsibility and sensitivity toward public accountability.
Accusations Against KoSSev
Radomirović responded today by sending Lazarević a message filled with insults, accusing her of being “a branch office of the criminal organization SL.”
“Unfortunately, I cannot address you with respect. I will keep this SMS so that free citizens will soon be able to judge both me and you, as one of many outposts of the criminal organization SL,” he wrote, among other derogatory remarks.
KoSSev will notify relevant professional and journalist associations on this case.
