A dog was shot dead in North Mitrovica yesterday. The police found a shell casing and opened an investigation.
The Animal Protection Association „Sapa“ announced last night that a puppy was shot in front of the apartment door of a woman who was taking care of it.
It immediately succumbed to its wounds.
The Kosovo Police confirmed the case in a statement for KoSSev.
They state that they received a report that a dog was gunned down at around 6 pm in Vojvode Putnika Street.
A police patrol and forensic unit, as well as the investigator, arrived on the scene where they found one shell casing.
The police have launched an investigation into the case, which includes three crimes; illegal possession of a firearm, use of a firearm, and cruelty to animals.
However, the police claim that they have no suspects for now.
