Another vehicle was set on fire in the north of Kosovo. The vehicle in question is a Volkswagen car with Serbian license plates (RA – Raška).
The case was reported to the police on Wednesday. The car was torched around 3 o’clock after midnight, the police said.
The Kosovo police launched a case of „car torching“. So far, there are no suspects in the case.
According to KoSSev’s unofficial findings, the vehicle belongs to an associate of the former mayor of Leposavić, Zoran Todić.
With the exception of a case of bomb-throwing and setting fire to a bar in Zvečan, as well as at least one torched car during the October 2021 riots in the north, at least 85 vehicles have been set on fire since 2014 in Serb-inhabited areas, primarily in the north.
The previous three cases of car arson in the north took place at the beginning of April in North Mitrovica, on March 17 in Leposavić, on February 29 in Zvečan.
