Results from the Torlak Institute arrived, no cases of coronavirus in North Mitrovica

There are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in North Mitrovica so far. A total of seven samples have been sent for testing from North Mitrovica Hospital Center to Belgrade – four tested negative, while the results of other samples have not yet arrived. The latest negative result – a sample belonging to a person from North Mitrovica who recently returned from Portugal – arrived this morning, North Mitrovica Hospital Center confirmed for KoSSev.

„The results of a person who came recently from Portugal, and who tested negative, arrived this morning, and we did not receive any other test results,“ Doctor Zlatan Elek told KoSSev portal this morning.

There are no cases of coronavirus in our city so far, he added.

“Persons who have experienced symptoms predicted by an algorithm sent by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia are being tested”

The head of the infectious disease ward, Doctor Danica Radomirovic confirmed for KoSSev that a total of seven people have been tested for coronavirus so far and that the last sample was sent to the Torlak Institute this morning.

Radomirovic also confirmed that four people have tested negative for COVID-19, while the results for the remaining three are pending.

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic revealed last night that the first samples from North Mitrovica are being tested for coronavirus and that patients will be treated in central Serbia. Previous samples were also sent to Torlak for testing.
