The electoral assembly of the Football Association of the Mitrovica Region has elected new leadership of FC Trepca. At the same time, the Vice-President of Srpska Lista, Milan Radoicic was nominated for president of FA Kosovo and Metohija in the upcoming elections.
The electoral assembly of this association was held yesterday in the premises of the Sports Facility in North Mitrovica.
At the proposal of FC Trepca, the former president of FC Zvecan, Zoran Vukasinovic was unanimously elected as the new president of the Football Association of the Mitrovica Region. Ivan Bascarevic was elected Vice-President, while Dusan Drobac is the new Secretary General and Blagoje Jaksic was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board. At the same time, a new Executive Committee was elected, which includes all representatives of clubs from the aforementioned association.
As the Committee on Emergency Issues of the FC of Serbia issued elections at all levels, the Football Association of the Mitrovica Region also unanimously decided to nominate former president of FC Trepca, Milan Radoicic for president of FA Kosovo and Metohija.
Elections for president of the FA of Kosovo and Metohija will be held on March 4th.
Srpska Lista Vice-President Milan Radoicic is regarded in the public as the most influential official of the largest Kosovo Serb party. Radoicic has made few public appearances since he avoided arrest by the special Kosovo police forces in North Mitrovica on November 23rd. The Special Prosecutor’s Office of Kosovo has issued a warrant for his arrest on suspicion of involvement in the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, followed by more charges fpr organized crime and drug trafficking.
