Metro: The allegations on Serbian soldiers in Jarinje are untrue

After the Kosovapress reported this morning that Serbian army and Gendarmerie have been deployed near Jarinje integrated border crossing with the northern part of Kosovo since Sunday morning, another Kosovo online news media outlet – Gazeta Metro – denied such a deployment.

Citing high level North Kosovo police sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity, Metro reports that the previous information is „a fabrication and misinformation as there are no Serbian soldiers in Jarinje“.

„Metro’s sources state that those that were thought to be Serb soldiers could be eventually other Serbian state officials,“ reports Metro without any further detail.

The same news portal added neither the Kosovo police HQ, nor the government in Pristina stated anything on this issue. They did not respond to the calls of journalists either.
