Kosovo Serbs suspected of involvement in the assassination of Kosovo Serb politician, Oliver Ivanovic will be indicted in the coming days, Kosovo’s Special Prosecutor Syle Hoxha confirmed for KoSSev.
“This month, in 15 to 20 days, they will be indicted,“ Hoxha said.
Kosovo’s Special Prosecutor confirmed that indictments would be filed against Marko Rosic and Nedeljko Spasojevic, adding that an indictment against all suspects is in the works. A joint indictment against the other suspects in this case is expected – said Hoxha.
He also stressed that the prosecution has new findings about the murder case, adding that this new information will be made public after the indictments are filed.
Rosic and Spasojevic, who is a member of Kosovo Police from the north, have been in custody since November 23rd, 2018.
Another police officer, Dragisa Markovic, was also arrested in the November Kosovo Police action. Markovic, however, was later released from custody. Srpska Lista Vice-President, Milan Radoicic, also suspected of involvement in the assassination, avoided arrest at the time. An arrest warrant for Radoicic was subsequently issued.
Seven people have been accused of involvement in the murder of Oliver Ivanovic so far. The names of five suspects have been confirmed – Nedeljko Spasojevic, Marko Rosic, Dragisa Markovic, Milan Radoicic, and Silvana Arsovic.
The latest arrest action in northern Kosovo in connection with the murder case took place more than a week ago when police officer R. B. was arrested while the second suspect, Z. B., who is believed to be a senior police official in the north region, managed to avoid arrest.
