Vucic: We are far from a solution. I have a deep respect for our church

We are far from a solution. In the eventual agreement with the Albanians, both of us will know that we have lost something and that then both sides could be satisfied. If they think that they should get everything and that we should lose everything, there will be no such agreement – said the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

„HERE IS WITH WHOM SAVA JANJIC IS “PROTECTING” DECANI! In an embrace with KLA spokesperson Vlora Chitaku!” – this is also the latest headline of the Belgrade-based daily, the Informer, and Pink TV and portal.

They published a photo of the former Minister of European Integration, Vlora Chitaku visiting the Visoki Decani Monastery.

Vucic also commented on allegations that Albanian representatives from southern Serbia had spoken with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Pristina-based Zeri reported yesterday that they were supposed to talk about „borders“ and „Presevo Valley“.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci is in favour of joining Presevo Valley to Kosovo.

The Kosovo presidency announced yesterday that this will be the subject of upcoming talks in Brussels.

„If someone thinks that by giving more statements with the goal to accomplish something for himself, and against Serbia, and that it will be directly proportional to the results it will achieve, I do not believe in it. That’s why I said that we should wait for the results, and then we can judge who got what and who lost what,“ said the President of Serbia.

I have full confidence in the Serbian Patriarch Irinej, I have a deep respect for our church, Vucic said, when asked about the Abbot of Visoki Decani monastery, Father Sava Janjic, who, as one of the journalists estimated „is supporting the Albanian leadership, and attacking Serbia and the Belgrade authorities.“

If you expect me to speak badly about our church, I will not do that, not even about those who throw stones at me on an hourly, not to say on a daily basis, said Vucic.

Commenting on the yesterday’s roundtable of Serbian National Forum in Gracanica, he said:

„I find those who speak about Caglavica the most comical, and they sold half of Caglavica to Albanians. When Moma Trajkovic and those who speak to me about this show up, I just want to grab my head and ask what is this, people? You, who literally sold half of the Serbian land in the vicinity of Pristina, want to preach today how and in what way we can protect our interests? “

Vucic claimed again that there are no Serbs in Kosovo Polje.

„Do you know that there are no Serbs in Kosovo Polje? In Kosovo Polje, which was the symbol and the heart of Serbian statehood, there are no Serbs“ – he added.

Unlike last time, when he said there are almost no Serbs in Bresje, he now claimed:

„There are Serbs in Bresje, a few Serbs in Ugljare. Fewer in Caglavica, precisely because of such experts who held Madeleine Albright’s umbrella and defended Serbia, today they hold patriotic lessons.“

Such a statement on „holding the umbrella“ came a few hours after the Informer tabloid published on the front page, the headline „Sava Janjic – an umbrella holder for Madeleine Albright“ with a photo of Janjic and former US State Secretary.
