
Two trucks and one car were damaged in a fire that broke out around 1 a.m. last night in North Mitrovica. The vehicles were parked in front of the Frukta building when the fire occurred.
The citizens were woken up by three strong detonations, one after the other.
The fire that engulfed two trucks and a car, which in this case was only collateral damage, was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
The investigation was carried out last night and today by members of the Kosovo Police. Preliminary information suggests the fire was an act of arson.
The police stated that two truck engines were set on fire by suspicious persons.
„This morning, shortly before 1 a.m., the Kosovo police noticed a fire in Kralj Petar Street in North Mitrovica. It is suspected that suspicious persons set fire to two trucks (engines) parked in front of the warehouse. The car was also damaged in the fire,“ the police said.
No injuries were reported, KP confirmed.
The trucks, marked with the company logo „Elaa 1,“ were used for the needs of food warehouses owned by an ethnic Albanian in this part of the town.
