US Senator and Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee Ron Johnson will visit Greece, Macedonia, Serbia and Kosovo next week, the US Embassy in Belgrade confirmed for Radio Slobodna Evropa. He will meet with regional leaders during his visit of the Balkans.
Johnson is set to visit the Serbian capital on Monday and Tuesday, Radio Slobodna Evropa reported.
Senator Johnson is one of the senior advisers of US President Donald Trump in charge of special missions and a chairman of the Subcommittee on European and Regional Security Cooperation in the US Senate.
He also visited Belgrade in February this year when he met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. The Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic also spoke with him in Washington, in late July.
