After almost a full month of blockade, the Jarinje border crossing was opened this morning at 8:30 a.m.
The deputy commander of the Kosovo Police for the region north, Veton Elshani, confirmed for KoSSev.
„From 8:30 a.m., the Jarinje border crossing will be fully open,“ he said earlier this morning.
Brnjak was opened in early October.
Kosovo authorities closed these two crossings on the 24th of September to traffic coming from central Serbia, after Kosovo Police Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed in an ambush in the village of Banjska, and ensuing clashes between an armed, uniformed group of Serbs and the Kosovo Police, during which at least three of the alleged attackers were confirmed to have been killed.
