Kosovo opposition parties tried to hold a session last week to approve a resolution on a ban on the Kosovo President’s talks with the Serbian President Vucic regarding the territory of Kosovo. In the meantime, representatives of the ‘Presevo Valley’, from Thaci’s cabinet, called on the Kosovo opposition today to adopt a resolution with a different goal – to open borders and join them to Kosovo, as promised by the President.
President Hashim Thaci received representatives from Presevo Valley in his cabinet today, to whom he has been promising that he will open the topic in Brussels on joining the Valley to Kosovo, Gazeta Express reports.
The representatives of the Presevo Valley say that, at a meeting with the President, they requested that the Kosovo Assembly adopts a resolution which would support their demand to unite with Kosovo.
„In the coming days we will meet with the heads of parliamentary groups and we will ask them to open this session as soon as possible,“ said the Mayor of Presevo Shqiprim Arifi, at a joint conference with President Thaci.
The representatives of the Valley addressed this issue to all party leaders, Gazeta Express reports.
„Approve the resolution supporting our demand for the unification of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja,“ Arifi said.
