The Serbian Government appointed a Srpska Lista official and Kosovo MP in his third term, Slavko Simic as the Serbian-sponsored Chief of Mitrovica County.

The decision was made last week. Simic replaced the 68-year-old Vaso Jelic, who retired.

This is the second Serbian state sponsored position given to Simic. As Insajder reported last week, Simic was also appointed a member of the Council of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education.

KoSSev unsuccessfully tried to get in touch with Simic, requesting his comments on his priorities and the date of taking office.

In addition to Simic, a number of prominent Srpska Lista officials have also been assigned to new posts on the council of the university and several faculties in North Mitrovica, including Goran Rakic, the Mayor of North Mitrovica, former cabinet ministers, Ivan Todosijevic (whose trial over his Racak statement started today) and Dalibor Jevtic, the chief of Pec county, Vinka Radosavljevic, MPs Igor Simic and Zoran Mojsilovic, Kosovo Deputy Minister of Interior, Milan Radojevic and the Mayor of Leposavic, Zoran Todic.
