Srpska Lista representatives met with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, in Belgrade today – just four days before the end of the deadline for re-registration to RKS set by the Kosovo government. „If Pristina starts a violent action to confiscate vehicles with KM plates, we will block all crossings and entrances from the north to central Kosovo in the south,“ SL chief, Goran Rakic, announced from Belgrade.
Srpska Lista officials held a meeting with the President of Serbia today regarding the issue of re-registration to RKS, that is, as they announced, Albin Kurti’s announcement that they will „start confiscating property and vehicles on November 1st“.
The meeting was attended by a large number of top officials of this party, including SL Vice-President, Milan Radoicic.
Two cars were set on fire in Leposavic in less than two days. According to unofficial information, the vehicle that was lit on fire last night was registered to RKS on the same day.

After the meeting, SL chief, Goran Rakic, accompanied by MP Igor Simic and the mayor of Strpce, Dalibor Jevtic, addressed the media.
„We received firm guarantees and assurances that President Vucic and the state of Serbia will stand by their people,“ said Rakic.
He says they told Vucic they would show a peaceful democratic resistance if Kosovo authorities start confiscating vehicles and license plates.
„SL told Vucic and asked him if the Kosovo security forces, the Special Units, the police or anyone else starts confiscating our property, and that property is precisely those license plates and vehicles, which is the reason for today’s meeting, that we will use all means and democratically, peacefully, resist. It will be the resistance of the people,“ said Rakic, noting that his party wants a peaceful, democratic, non-violent resistance.
„But I don’t know what it will all turn into and how the situation on the ground will develop if someone starts violently seizing our property “ – he adds.
Although claiming he does not know „what it will all turn into“, the SL chief announced the blocking of crossings if there is a forcible confiscation of vehicles with KM plates.
„Once again, I have to say that if Pristina starts a violent action to confiscate vehicles with KM plates, we will block all crossings and entrances from the north to central Kosovo in the south,“ alerted Rakic.
While Srpska Lista announces the possibility of confiscation of vehicles after November 1st, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, underlineda few days ago that there would be no confiscationof cars with Serbian markings of towns in Kosovo. Bislimi stressed that this is misinformation.
He also said that the Kosovo MIA would decide what will happen after November 1st, but also that there are no plans or ideas for an „onslaught“.
Pristina officials announced several times this week that there will be no postponement of the deadline for re-registration and urged citizens to switch to the RKS plates. The Prime Minister of Kosovo made the same call ahead of the meeting with the President of the European Commission.
„Today we have a meeting with Ursula von der Leyen and we have daily activities. I call on all Serbs who have outdated license plates to change them to RKS,“ Kurti said this morning.
Rakic also congratulated the citizens who faced „great pressure“ in the past days.
„Our phone numbers were handed over to the Kosovo Ministry of Interior, and we received some instructions to re-register the vehicles,“ he said.
In his words, only two people from the northern municipalities have re-registered their vehicles to RKS so far.
According to Rakic, even though that Pristina invested several million euros for its re-registration campaign so far – „Serbs have recognized propaganda and place their trust only in the state of Serbia and President Vucic“.
At the same time, he thanked Vucic for always standing by the Serbs „even during tough times, not just when things are good.“
He reminded that the National Security Council is currently in session, which would be attended by the President of Serbia.
Rakic also announced that Vucic will be addressing the public after the session.
