Kosovo Serb politician and university professor Rada Trajkovic reported threats she received, as she claims, after referring to the Vice-President of Srpska Lista, Milan Radoicic, as „a mascot rather than a real leader who should lead the Serbs to defend themselves by armed means.“
She says that she received threats yesterday by phone. Trajkovic adds that she forwarded the phone number from which the threats arrived to the MIA and the prosecutor’s office, along with the content of the threat itself: „You’ll see what’s going to happen to you.“ Trajkovic says that the caller was a man, who spoke in an aggressive tone. Furthermore, she claims that the threats are directly connected to what she said about Milan Radoicic.
„As you probably know, until a few months ago, I was under protection by a very professional team in charge of the security of certain persons and objects precisely because of similar threats to my safety. Therefore, I have trust in your professionalism and objectivity in handling this report and the investigation of the unknown person behind these threats,“ Trajkovic wrote in the report she filed with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor’s Office of Serbia, which she also forwarded to KoSSev portal.
When asked if she was scared, Trajkovic replied that „others should think about her safety as a citizen of Serbia.“
„Others should think about keeping the citizens of Serbia safe,“ Trajkovic told KoSSev, adding:
„The hardest thing for me is that some of my close friends now avoid having a cup of coffee with me outside the house, or the fact that I myself avoid going out with my family so as not to cause them problems. This is a strange time and I’m sorry for what Serbia has been reduced to – that any of its citizens have this feeling of insecurity, only because they are publicly sharing their opinion.“
During a guest appearance on N1 on Monday, Trajkovic said that Milan Radoicic was chosen as someone who should organize the Serbs and „lead them to defend the Serbs by armed means“, while also describing Radoicic as „more of a mascot than a leader“.
„Who is Radoicic? He is young, he did not serve in the army, and little is known about his biography. We heard that he kidnapped some Albanians once, that he was taking ransom. He never participated in…, I don’t know if he even knows how to handle a weapon, to make a defense strategy…“ stated Trajkovic.
