The brother of the slain Oliver Ivanovic, Miroslav Ivanovic, told KoSSev that Boban Bogdanovic’s testimony on Oliver’s murder is fact-filled and merits consideration. Ivanovic also says that the competent authorities should seriously address the testimony.
Bogdanovic told KRIK that Oliver Ivanovic was murdered by Ljubomir Lainovic, as well as that the murder was instigated by Zvonko Veselinovic, and organized by Milan Radoicic.
„That statement should not be carelessly discarded as some are attempting to do – to dismiss the story and automatically reject it as unusable. The competent authorities should seriously address and investigate many of the things presented in the testimony,“ said Miroslav Ivanovic.
When asked whether it is the responsibility of the MIA or the prosecutor’s office at this stage to deal with Bogdanovic’s allegations, Ivanovic told KoSSev that the police had to have special authority to continue dealing with the testimony, but that it is especially indicative that the special prosecutor’s office did not react – the MIA did.
„No, it is not even close to the work of the police. Why is it not done by the Special Prosecutor’s Office, which already has an open case on the murder of my brother? The police could have dealt with it, but it had to have special authority from the Special Prosecutor’s Office.”
On the other hand, Ivanovic reveals that he expects the investigation led by the Kosovo authorities to continue.
„The case on the act of murder itself is open, and such a person should be summoned, interrogated, and I expect that they will do so,“ Ivanovic said.
Furthermore, Ivanovic stressed that he found the part of Bogdanovic’s testimony where he clearly „cuts the ties“ between the murder and politics – as Bogdanovic testified that the motive for the murder was unresolved matters with Zvonko Veselinovic, at the same time excluding any involvement of Serb President Aleksandar Vucic – as unconvincing.
Miroslav Ivanovic said that he was not satisfied with just knowing the names of the perpetrators, noting that the names of everyone involved, both before and after the murder, must be revealed.
„I can only be satisfied by the final goal, and that is the absolute disclosure of the whole story, but I repeat the whole story of Oliver’s murder and everything that happened after that,“ said Miroslav Ivanovic.
