„Many know who is behind the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, but it is a political trade. Everyone is silent. Many behave as if nothing has happened. Nobody wants the murderer to be found because there would be a lot of dirty laundry.“ These were the comments of the previously most influential leader of Serbs from North Kosovo, Marko Jaksic, a leader of Serbs from Kosovo and a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine in North Mitrovica, Rada Trajkovic, and journalist and author of „Slobodno Srpski“, Budimir Nicic, on the murder of Oliver Ivanovic. In a series of articles, on the eve of the fifth month since the murder, RTV Kim asked them about the investigation, but also about the appointment of Milan Radoicic as the Vice-President of Srpska Lista and the Srpska Lista itself.
Jaksic: The murder was preceded by a campaign, in some way it created a favorable political climate for Ivanovic to be liquidated
„Unfortunately, we see that he (Oliver Ivanovic) is a political victim. Nobody wants for the murderer of Oliver Ivanovic to be found, because there would be a lot of dirty laundry. It is my impression that his death is being politically traded between Pristina, Belgrade and the West somewhat. Unfortunately, the man is gone. It’s been a long time and I’m afraid, if this goes on, the murderer will never be found,“ Marko Jaksic told Kim.
When asked by RTV Kim why Srpska Lista, as the political factor among Serbs, does not insist more, Jaksic replied:
„Well, Srpska Lista was the main organizer of the media lynching of Oliver Ivanovic, so it would be a little strange that those, who in some way prepared the terrain for his destruction, are the ones who will seek to uncover the real murderer.“
Jaksic also recalled the statements of Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic, who promised that the killers of Oliver Ivanovic would be quickly found, but it did not happen.
„There’s something rather strange, rather suspicious here. What is important is that Oliver was an intended target, just before the murder. Let’s recall only one of the negative campaigns that the authorities in Belgrade carried out against him. Let’s just remember the ugly things Pink Television had to say about Oliver Ivanovic, what Most Television did. So, one cannot get rid of the impression that, in some way, a favorable political climate for his liquidation was created. Now, the investigation will best show how much those in power were involved in it,“ Jaksic said.
Many know who is behind the murder
Speaking about the role of Kosovo judicial authorities and authorities in Pristina to resolving Ivanovic’s murder, he recalled the statement of Kosovo President, Hashim Thaci, who said the killers would quickly be discovered and that „someone would get hurt by this“:
„Unfortunately, nothing has changed since then, so my impression is that many people know who is standing behind the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, but that a political trade between Belgrade, Pristina and the West is in the middle of this.“
On the election of Radoicic as the Vice-President of Srpska Lista: BG is trying to grant him amnesty
Marko Jaksic believes that even the arrest of Oliver Ivanovic was, as he said, strange: „It was done in 2013 between the two rounds of elections for the Mayor of Mitrovica municipality when he was in great condition (politically) and had reasons to win. In Mitrovica, we think that, first and foremost, the authorities in Belgrade, not to say President Aleksandar Vucic, are responsible for his arrest in 2013.“
Jaksic also answered Kim’s question on what he thinks about Milan Radoicic’s election as the Vice-President of Srpska Lista.
He said that „he was the most mentioned man in connection with Ivanovic’s murder“, adding:
„Belgrade in a way tries to grant him amnesty, to put him in a political position, so I personally think that this is, first of all, the main intention of the authorities in Belgrade. Srpska Lista itself is a separatist list because it follows the laws and the Constitution of the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo. Everything is very strange, starting from the election of Milan Radoicic as the Vice-President of Srpska Lista.“
Nicic: Either they do not know anything, or they are powerless to find the killer, or they know too much, so they are trading politically

Journalist Budimir Nicic estimated, for Kim, that „many, and especially the authorities in Belgrade and Pristina prefer that Ivanovic’s murder is not publicly spoken about.”
He considers there are several reasons for this: „Either they really do not know anything, they are powerless and unable to find out who killed Oliver Ivanovic, or maybe they know too much, and that is not too popular at this moment, nor would it be too convenient for them to disclose this. Or maybe somebody knows something, so he is trading politically or blackmailing. In any case, many behave as though nothing had happened.“
It creates a sense of hopelessness and insecurity for the citizens, he said.
Trajkovic: Civil society has had limited intervention for fear of safety
Rada Trajkovic wonders „why is everyone silent“ about the murder of Oliver Ivanovic.
„Civil society’s intervention is very limitedly. This is simply because it fears for its safety because we live in a time of complete irresponsibility because when something happens to somebody, no one reacts in the right way,“ she added.
Trajkovic believes that „as long as it remains so and until people from criminality are isolated, society will withdraw and everyone will be more and more silent.“
At the same time, she told Kim that she was surprised by the reception of Srpska Lista in Washington, considering that Milan Radoicic was elected Vice-President of the party.
All in the hands of local leaders, the international community has left everything up to them

„This is something that everyone should be worried about,“ she said and estimated:
„The legalization of people that we all think are responsible for destabilizing the north of Kosovo and Metohija, destabilizing and creating an atmosphere for the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, is terrible. All this is essentially found in Srpska Lista, and now they are virtually complete with Radoicic.“
She says that as „Albanians in Kosovo are governed by Hashim Thaci and the secret service, SHIK, so are the Serbs governed by Radoicic“:
„This shows that the solution to everything is in their hands. I do not exclude the opportunities of the international community, but it is obvious that it has left everything up to the local leaders.“
In the meantime, Srpska Lista reacted. However, they commented on Rada Trajkovic’s statements only. KoSSev portal has received no information and media announcements from Srpska Lista since last year. We publish its latest Facebook news releases in their original version:
„Since the founding of Srpska Lista, the biggest attacks on us have come from those who work on coins and who have put material and personal interest ahead of the national interest, such as Rada Trajkovic, a self-styled politician without voters, who was not even present at the polls.
Recently, her nonsense went so far that she claimed, during the attacks on Serbs and their property across Kosovo and Metohija, that Pristina was a safe place for Serbs to live. But, probably by chance, she forgot to mention that, today, there are 40,000 missing Serbs in Pristina, who have been expelled, also she forgot to mention that her family does not live in that safe Pristina, nor in Kosovo and Metohija, but in Belgrade, in an apartment on Sarajevo Street which, according to evidence from the Special Prosecutor’s Office, was bought from state money intended for housing care for the socially endangered Serbian population in Kosovo and Metohija.
Nevertheless, such attitudes towards hating Serbian are not surprising because Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija remember that Mrs. Trajkovic laughed at the question a journalist asked Bernard Kouchner about the trafficking of human organs and the ‘yellow house’.
For all, citizen Trajkovic, who was a politician at a time when political representatives of Serbs in Kosovo were not chosen in elections, but in embassies, has no moral right to give any lessons. And we believe that there are many other, more honorable ways to satisfy her insatiable material interests.“
