Kosovo police seized more than 52 kilograms of a substance suspected to be marijuana in the Gnjilane region and arrested three people, one of whom is a Serbian citizen.
The unit for the prevention of narcotics distribution of the General Directorate of the Kosovo Police, after a month-long police operation, confiscated the drugs at approximately 16.00h yesterday in the village of Pones on the Pristina-Gnjilane road, while a Serbian citizen was arrested later in the day in the parking lot of a shopping center in Gnjilane.
Kosovo police stopped a Mercedes vehicle with Albanian registration plates and found drugs in the trunk of the car.
The driver, F. T. and the passenger J.H., both Albanian citizens, were arrested. According to the Kosovo Police, the Serbian citizen L. M is suspected of taking over the drugs.
Two vehicles, four mobile phones, and €2,000 in cash were seized during this operation.
