Srpska Lista ministers will be arrested if they insult Kosovo’s citizens, a member of the Self-Determination Movement (LVV) and a Pristina MP Arber Vokrri told T7.
„We cannot tolerate insults of identity nor history, especially not those coming from Srpska Lista. They will be arrested if they release similar statements and we will not tolerate these current ministers,” Vokrri said on Monday night.
Vokrri announced moreover that his party would work on Constitutional changes.
„We intend to change the Constitution as Srpska Lista is an extension of Belgrade,“ he said.
The former Srpska Lista Kosovo Minister of Administration and Local Self-Government Ivan Todosijevic was sentenced to 2 years in prison in December for „inciting national, racial, religious hatred, unrest, or intolerance“ over a statement he made at the 20th anniversary of the NATO bombing at a ceremony in Zvecan. At the time, Todosijevic referred to Albanians as „Shiptars“ and described the Racak case as „fabricated.“
Pristina construed Todosijevic’s statement as „an insult to the victims of Racak“ and Todosijevic was soon dismissed by the former Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj.
„In my government, there will be no place for anyone who in any way offends others on ethnic, racial, religious or other grounds,“ Haradinaj said.
Todosijevic’s sentence was harshly condemned by Belgrade officials, including Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic.
In the recently formed Kosovo government – headed by Albin Kurti – Srpska Lista has two ministers – Dalibor Jevtic, Minister for Communities and Return, and Ivan Milojevic, Minister for Regional Development.
