„Our security and intelligence institutions recently investigated the rising risk of violent attacks from Serbian structures in Kosovo, in order to place the blame on the police and portray them as a force of pressure on the Kosovo Serbs,“ Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti announced today.
At the 165th session of the government held this morning in Pristina, Kurti called primarily on the Serbian people in Kosovo to show restraint and „trust in the Kosovo Police“.
„I call on you, especially dear Serb fellow citizens, to be careful and refrain from causing malicious violence in the coming days, weeks and months. Report suspicious behavior in your surroundings, convey the announcements of the institutions, remain calm in any situation and do not fall for misinformation,“ he said, Pristina-based Koha reported.
He also alleged that everyone is equal in Kosovo and that „unwanted communities do not exist“.
„Kosovo is a safe country for everyone. Albanians, Serbs, Bosniaks, Turks, Ashkali, Roma, Egyptians, Gorani and everyone else – for them to live and work together in our beloved, peaceful and pro-European Kosovo. Those who try to destroy us will not succeed“ , the PM underlined, noting that since the conflict in Banjska on September 24, many things are different now.
Although the armed group did not succeed in what it intended to do that day, the attack itself represents a motive for „possible other scenarios aimed at destabilization“ – but not by Pristina, he added.

In his words, the very fact that the Serbian authorities very quickly released Milan Radoičić from custody is „proof and a signal that there may be regrouping and revenge“.
„The release of Radoičić, less than 24 hours after his arrest, is evidence and a signal for potential regrouping and revenge, all because the official and military Belgrade failed on September 24,“ emphasized the Kosovo Prime Minister.
