The Basic Court in Pristina has issued a first-instance verdict in the high-profile case against four ethnic Serbs charged in connection with the attack on the premises of the Municipal Election Commission in North Mitrovica on December 6, 2022.
Milun Milenković and Aleksandar Vlajić were each sentenced to five years in prison for their roles in what prosecutors described as a terrorist act.
The Kosovo Special Prosecution accuses them of having, in co-perpetration with other unidentified individuals, carried out a terrorist attack on the premises of the Municipal Election Commission on December 6, 2022, when, during a protest by Serbs, two hand grenades and two stun grenades were thrown, thereby endangering human lives, as stated in the indictment.
Dejan Pantić received a two-year prison sentence for charges related to hooliganism. The fourth defendant, Momir Vakić, was acquitted of all charges and exempted from paying court fees.
The three convicted men—Milenković, Vlajić, and Pantić—were each ordered to pay €200 in court costs and an additional €100 to the “War Victims Fund.”
None of the defendants were present at the pronouncement of the verdict.
Milenković and Vlajić remain in detention.
Notably, Vlajić had previously been sentenced to five years in June 2025 in a separate case involving espionage. Pantić and Vakić defended themselves from liberty during the trial.
