An ethnic Albanian singer from Kosovo, Fjolla Morina, shared a photograph of her displaying the Albanian flag, with the message „Everything Albanian is ours,“ that was taken yesterday near the main Ibar bridge in North Mitrovica.
She boasted about her visit to the North on Instagram, where she posted a photograph of her posing at the beginning of the North Mitrovica promenade.
„Everything Albanian is ours – Thanks to Albin Kurti, congratulations on the 18th anniversary of Self-determination,“ Morina wrote in the photo caption.
According to the information available in the media reporting in Albanian, apart from the fact that Morina is a well-known Albanian singer, there are also allegations that she was arrested on a couple of occasions, due to allegations of arms and drug trafficking.
The Albanian Daily News reports that she was arrested in September 2020 at the border, when a „Zoraki“ pistol with 23 bullets was found in her possession, and an Interpol warrant was allegedly issued for her due to the alleged arms and ammunition trade in Albania.
The Albanian authorities reportedly sentenced Morina to six years in prison for „arms and ammunition trafficking“.
She was spotted at the police station in Pristina in 2022, but her lawyer denied that she was arrested.
