The former EU Special Representative in Kosovo, Pieter Feith, pleaded in favor of the idea of the exchange of territories.
„It’s time to become pragmatic, it took too long, and there’s still no reconciliation. But only if the entire society stands behind it. Let’s explore this idea,“ Feith told Dutch public radio NPO Radio 1, KTV reported.
However, he also said there could be many problems with this plan regarding minorities on both sides of the Ibar River, and also because it could cause a precedent in the Balkans – not only with Bosnia but also with Ukraine and Georgia. In the end, he claimed, however, that the exchange of territories could bring more stability.
