Kosovo Deputy Minister of Local Self-Government Administration, Arber Vokrri, visited a local apple and juice producer, Zlatko Sekulić, a resident of Lesak in the municipality of Leposavic.
„Mr. Sekulić is one of the few manufacturers of anti-hail nets in the region. Hundreds of hectares in Kosovo are protected by his product. He is also a hard-working producer of high-quality apples and juices. Srpska Lista had him fired from his school job because he does not shy away from living as a conscientious citizen of Kosovo,“ Vokrri said in a Facebook post, while also sharing photos of his visit.
I’m a family man, I’m not interested in politics
Zlatko Sekulić told KoSSev that he did not address his experience with SL, nor did he even mention the party to the delegation of the Kosovo Ministry.
„We didn’t even talk about that – that last thing he said. I didn’t tell them anything, nor did they ask me about it. They visited me and I hope that this first part (of the statement) was well said. I am a family man, I am not interested in politics“.

Sekulić added that they did not ask for his consent to publicly share information regarding the official’s visit to his farm, noting there is no reason to hide anything. He also had no problem with them taking photos during the visit.
He explained how this visit came to be.
Sekulić successfully manages the family company for the production of anti-hail nets, stating that it is a unique company that operates in the Kosovo, Macedonian, and Albanian markets.
Last year he had a lot of business on the Kosovo market, and this year, he planned to continue with the increased volume of work through grants for fruit growers and farmers.
He stated that due to the significant problems caused by the ban on the import of Serbian goods, primarily due to the increase in the costs for his customers, he decided to contact the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Lazar Radulović, to solve the problem.
Another reason why Sekulić decided to contact the ministry in Pristina is the long-standing ecological problems due to the close proximity of a tailings dump.
„For ten years we have been struggling with this, and we are not doing anything, now they have added another annex, and there’s no life here,“ says Sekulić.
„That’s why I contacted them. For the common good. All for the purposes of business, I’m not interested in politics. It doesn’t matter what I think. I contacted them on business, they came by on business“ – emphasized Sekulić for KoSSev.
In the end, Sekulić confirmed the information that he was fired from his work at the school, reportedly over the visit of the Kosovo Minister of Agriculture, Faton Peci, about a year ago.
