A member of the Serbian gendarmerie, who was detained by the Kosovo police at Jarinje today, has been released, the deputy director of the Kosovo police for the region north, Veton Elshani, confirmed for KoSSev.

Elshani specified that he was released after an interview at the police station in South Mitrovica.

„There is no case,“ Elshani stressed.

This morning, the Kosovo police detained ethic Serb A. Ć at Jarinje border crossing due to the suspicion that he had previously „photographed buildings“ in South Mitrovica without „authorization.“

Elshani, said in a statement for KoSSev this morning that when the KP officers were checking A.Ć.’s documents at the crossing, a notification appeared that he was on the „stop list“.

Elshani states that the individual in question was wanted due to suspicions that he had allegedly „photographed“ buildings in South Mitrovica „without authorization“.
