We will all support each and every solution you reach, and this would mean more rights for Serbs, a safer environment for citizens and the preservation of our sanctities which would enable a better economic position of our people, whether it is delimitation, correction or something else. We invite you not to give up on the mission of saving the north of Kosovo and everything that can be saved from the clutches of Pristina, which Jeremic, Djilas, Janjic, Trajkovic and other favourites and sycophants of foreign embassies are proposing – ten Kosovo Serb mayors wrote in a letter to the President Aleksandar Vucic. They also announced the possibility that the solution will not be reached due to the „pestilential activities“ of the Serbian opposition, and emphasized the following: „We will be forced to look for them in their houses and villas and ask them why they did this to the Serbian people.“

We publish the original letter of Kosovo Mayors to the Serbian President:

Departure

In this letter, as well as yesterday’s urgent press conference of Srpska Lista in Kosovska Mitrovica, Srpska Lista also warned of the departure of Serbs and a ‘visit’ to the Serbian opposition in Belgrade, using the neology „Jeremic-Djilas-Jankovic-Obradovic“:

„… If you continue to say what you are saying out of your comfortable armchairs, we will be very happy to bring our people with us and go to your villas in Belgrade to enjoy some of the benefits of your life, and you will come here and hold lectures on what you need to do.“

Dear President Vucic,

In the name of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, who see the only hope of their survival in their centuries-old homes in your politics, please do not give up the fight for a just, compromising and sustainable solution, which will mean a better future not only for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija but for the entire Serbian nation. We send this letter absolutely aware that reason must overcome emotions, and that the footsteps of our children are as valuable as the footsteps of our ancestors.

Dear President, although you are more than aware of this, we remind you that if you give up the fight which signifies for us life in Kosovo and Metohija, it will be the greatest historical defeat of our people in the recent history of Serbia, and at the same time the greatest victory of our enemies and their domestic sycophants.

Your struggle gives us faith, after many years, that we are not alone, that the Serbs in the north did not defend every inch of it from the invasion of the extremists in vain, and that the Serbs in the south did not bravely survive in this region in vain. With this letter, we want to tell you that we are aware of the burdens you carry and that you often try to get the most out of an impossible situation, so we assure you that we will all support each and every solution you reach, which would mean more rights for Serbs, a safer environment for citizens and the preservation of our sanctities and which would enable a better economic position for our people, whether it is a delimitation, correction or something else.

We invite you not to give up on the mission of saving the north of Kosovo and everything that can be saved from the clutches of Pristina, which Jeremic, Djilas, Janjic, Trajkovic and other favorites and sycophants of foreign embassies are proposing. Their gloating over our difficult fate must give you an incentive to continue the negotiations, for which you will always have our unreserved support and the support of Serbian people. And if a solution is not reached due to the pestilential activities of the above-mentioned, we will be forced to look for them in their houses and villas and ask them why they did this to the Serbian people.

President, make sure that after many years the entire Serbian people do not feel humiliated, so that we can finally start celebrating the peace and the future, and not defeat.

Eagerly awaiting your announced arrival, Kosovo Serbs will remain faithful to their country, despite all the temptations in which we find ourselves, because you are our hope that Serbia will be here with us.
