Numerous graffiti murals showing a picture of the leader of the Self-Determination Movement, Albin Kurti with Xhelal Svecla and Marko Djuric, along with the inscription „crooks and subjects,“ appeared in various locations in Lipljan, Ulpianapress reported today.
The graffiti, painted late on Thursday evening, appeared in various locations around the city, including the wall of the LDK headquarters in Lipljan, the Tahir Sinani Cultural House, as well as on waste containers.
Earlier in the week, the media published a photo of a meeting between a member of the Self-Determination Movement, Xhelal Svecla, and the head of the Kosovo Office, Marko Djuric in Tirana, which quickly triggered a reaction among the Kosovo public.
Arlind Manxhuka from the Self-Determination Movement reacted in the meantime, saying that participation in international conferences was not negotiation.
„Participation in international conferences is not negotiation. There is no international conference now which would invite the Self-Determination Movement! After the fall of the ‘Association,’ the ‘exchange of territories’ failed. Self-determination will lead the next government,“ Manxhuka said, Pristina-based Gazeta Express reported.
Also, in November of last year, following a meeting between Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Paris, graffiti appeared in Pristina with the inscription: „The North is not Crimea“, „Friends with benefits“, „From Russia with Love“, but also „Vladimir Thaci“ and „Hashim Putin“.
It has not yet been revealed who is standing behind the graffiti in Pristina and Lipljan.
