The appointment of Srpska Lista officials to positions in the highest academic institution in Kosovska Mitrovica – the University of Pristina with temporary headquarters in this northern town, continues.
After we reported in July that Goran Rakic, Srdjan Popovic and Ivan Todosijevic were re-appointed to the Council of this university, appointments to the councils of individual faculties continued during following sessions.
At a session held on July 27, the Government of Serbia adopted a decision on the appointment of members of the Council of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education of the University in Mitrovica, with its premises in Leposavic, which overrode the previous decision.
Slavko Simic, a professor of physical education and sports, was appointed to this Council, Milan Aritonovic, a professor of physical education and sports, Aleksandra Balovic, art historian, Ivan Zaporozac, a professor of physical education and sports, and Goran Kovac, mechanical engineer, were appointed as members of this Council.
Slavko Simic is the vice-president of SL, and until recently a deputy in the Kosovo Assembly and former head of the Kosovo-Mitrovica district. Ivan Zaporozac is a former councilor in the North Mitrovica MA and the current head of the school administration for Kosovo. Goran Kovac is the director of the Sports Hall in North Mitrovica.
At the same session, the Government of Serbia adopted a decision on the appointment of members of the Council of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Pristina – Biljana Vukicevic, a professor of Biology, Gordana Maric, chemical engineer, Srdjan Vulovic, traffic engineer, Dragana Brkljac, architectural engineer and Srdjan Vasic, electrical engineer.
Biljana Vukicevic is the principal of the Branko Radicevic Elementary School. She came to that position after the previous principal, Ivan Zaporozac, left to take on the post of head of school administration. She was also a councilor in the North Mitrovica Municipal Assembly. Vukicevic was already appointed to this FTN body in mid-March, but now the body has been strengthened with new personnel from SL.
Srdjan Vulovic is the former mayor of the Kosovo municipality of Zubin Potok, and at the same time the president of the PA of this municipality. Among other appointees, some are close relatives of at least two high-ranking officials of Srpska Lista.
At the same session of the Government of Serbia, the appointment of members of the PA of several municipalities continued, practically with the same personnel and surnames, which have been circulating and rotating from one position to another for years.
The latest appointments took place in the provisional authorities in Klina, Kosova Polje, Podujevo and Leposavic.
Rados Mihajlovic was relieved of his duties as a member of the Provisional Authority of Leposavic, and Dalibor Milunovic was appointed in his place.
For now, it is not known how the new member will perform his duties, given that the special units of the Kosovo Police have been staying in the municipal premises in Leposavic, as well as in Zubin Potok and Zvecan, for more than two months now.
By another decision of the Government of Serbia, Zivorad Vuksanovic was dismissed from his position as a member of the Provisional Authority of the Municipality of Podujevo, and Srdjan Vuksanovic was appointed.
In the Provisional Authority of the Municipality of Kosovo Polje, Milos Cirkovic has now assumed the role of a member of this institution after Miroslav Velickovic was dismissed.
The Provisional Authority in Klina got two new members – Sanja Kostic and Sasa Sarkovic, while Stojan Doncic and Nenad Stasic were dismissed.
The adviser to Kosovo president Blerim Vela commented on the personnel changes in the provisional bodies for the first time today. His reaction, in which he referred to the decisions of the Government of Serbia, arrived even before Serbian-language media reported on them.
