Representatives of the Serbian National Movement, the Civic Initiative “North for All”, and the Civic Initiative “Koreni” signed an agreement today in Zubin Potok outlining future cooperation and joint political action.
The signatories emphasized that the initiative is open to other political entities, organizations, and individuals who wish to join what they described as a collaborative effort to shape the political and social life of the Serbian community in Kosovo.
According to the Media Center, the agreement was signed by Milija Biševac, Ivan Miletić, and Ivan Vučković, who highlighted that the goal is to unite political actors sharing similar views and to provide an alternative to the current political landscape.
“This cooperation agreement allows each group and political party to maintain its individuality, but at the same time, the joint action will be visible. As we have repeatedly said, this is an open process, and we will offer it to all free-thinking individuals, organizations, whether in the NGO sector or private citizens, to initiate something that could grow into a serious organization and a different offering in the local political scene,” said Ivan Vučković of the Civic Initiative “Koreni”.
However, the agreement explicitly excludes cooperation with parties or individuals who have participated in policies opposed to the interests of Serbs in Kosovo.
“The agreement includes a clause on who can join. We are open to all options, but they must share our political line and views. We do not wish to absolve anyone through this agreement. Everyone is welcome, but only those without ‘baggage,’” Vučković added.
Milija Biševac, president of the Serbian National Movement, confirmed that clear conditions for joining the political gathering have been defined.
“One of the conditions stated in the agreement is that we do not want individuals who were direct collaborators in the traitorous policies of the Srpska lista in our ranks, nor those who directly cooperated with the current or previous authorities in Priština, which exerted pressure on the Serbian people. These are among the conditions under which people may join this organization,” Biševac said.
Biševac also stressed that the initiative offers citizens an alternative to the existing political model, aiming to consolidate a platform based on accountability, shared values, and independence from established structures perceived as compromising Serbian interests in Kosovo.
