The excavations of remains in Kosovo continued at three locations – in the village of Ljupce near Podujevo, near the industrial zone of Djakovica and in the settlement Tusus in Prizren. Kosovo authorities have asked to continue excavations at three locations in central Serbia, believed to locate the remains of Albanians, Kosovo media reported.
„Priority is given to locations where excavations have already been carried out, which were not completed last year,“ the head of the Kosovo commission for missing persons, Prenk Djetaj said.
He did not specify on the number of the missing persons’ remains that were found in Djakovica three weeks ago, confirming though that the remains were sent for further investigation.
At least five bodies were found earlier in May at the outskirts of Djakovica and Gnjilane. President of the Commission for Missing Persons Veljko Odalovic announced that two more locations would be explored in that area.
