Fetah Rudi, an LDK MP who survived an assassination attempt back in 2000, expressed hope that the Special Court for War Crimes in The Hague would shed light on his case, the Kosovan media report.
He shared more details about his case, but also the case of the murder of journalist and close associate of Ibrahim Rugova, Xhemail Mustafa, with Kanal10 TV.
Rudi, who was shot on December 15th, 2000, which left him paralyzed, claims that his murder was ordered by Fatmir Limaj and that it was supposed to have been carried out by Agim Zogaj.
„Agim Zogaj told me that Fatmir Limaj gave him the order, but that he did not want to kill me because he knows what I did for the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). He told me that by refusing to kill me, he risked his own life because they later wanted to kill him as well,“ he told Kanal10.
Rudi also wrote on Facebook that after 20 years of continuous failure of judicial institutions in Kosovo, including international ones: „the Special Court is the only hope for resolving mine and all other cases of political assassinations in Kosovo.“
„After two decades, I see a light at the end of the tunnel,“ he wrote on Facebook, Pristina-based Klan Kosova reported.
Rudi also told Kanal10 that Xhemail Mustafa was murdered with the same weapon with which he was injured, alleging that he obtained this information from the Chief Kosovo Prosecutor, Aleksandar Lumezi.
