The head of the Kosovo Office, Marko Djuric will visit the north of Kosovo today, where he will meet with the political representatives of Kosovo Serbs in the Zvecan municipal hall later in the day, the Kosovo Office suddenly announced this morning. The deputy regional commander of the Kosovo police for northern Mitrovica, Besim Hoti confirmed for KoSSev that Djuric will be making a three-day visit to Kosovo.
Djuric’s visit will last for three days, from 29th to 31st January. The head of the Kosovo Office will be provided with a Kosovo Police escort from the Jarinje border crossing to Zvecan, as well as on January 31st, upon his departure – said Hoti.
As the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed for Koha.net from, the Serbian official was „given permission“ for the visit. On the other hand, according to an unnamed source close to the Kosovo Police, Djuric was, allegedly, initially not granted „entry into Kosovo“.
The last visit to the north of Kosovo by the head of the Kosovo Office was in early September last year – during the visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
