The Serbian Minister of Interior Affairs Nebojsa Stefanovic called on the Chairman of the Kosovo Assembly Kadri Veseli today to „take no actions against the Serbian President“.
Veseli previously said he does not know if Vucic will come to Kosovo, and that, even though he received permission, „this could also be questioned, considering the destruction of stability in Kosovo.“
„He has no reason to visit Gazivode Lake, nor do we know whether he will go there,“ Veseli said.
Stefanovic claimed that these messages were threats.
„We understood the threats Kadri Veseli sent to the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and if anything were to happen to him in Kosovo and Metohija, we will know who is responsible,“ the Serbian Minister said for Tanjug news agency.
He went a step further.
„It is not surprising that Veseli and Djilas, as well as Haradinaj and Jeremic, Limaj and Sava Janjic, are saying the same things about Vucic. However, what worries me is the silence of the international community and that its attempt to make a false equity, by, as they often say, calling both sides, among which no equality in this sense can exist, to refrain from conflict,“ Stefanovic added.
He also assessed that Kosovo Albanians are the ones who want to deal with Vucic with „the most brutal barbaric methods”.
According to Stefanovic, Vucic, on the other hand, wants peace.
„However, the Kosovo Albanian leadership obviously needs someone in Serbia who would agree to the humiliation of Serbs and our country, as they had until 2012. And since they now understand that they cannot do this with Aleksandar Vucic, they are ready to deal with him with the most brutal barbaric methods,“ Stefanovic said.
The Minister of Defense, Aleksandar Vulin, also had a message for official Pristina. Apart from using a derogatory term for Albanians, and saying that „they are playing heroes when they are not near Vucic“, Vulin said that „they know quite well that Vucic’s visit to Kosovo is a historic visit that will strengthen Serbs“ and that is why they are seeking a way to prevent it.
„Any idea of an attempt to use force on the President of Serbia and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces will meet a clear answer. I would not advise Pristina to even think about it. Vucic will preserve peace and Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, despite Pristina,“ Vulin said in a statement to the media, which was picked up by the Belgrade-based news agency.
The President of Serbia will be visiting Kosovo during the weekend. As Vucic himself announced, during his visit, he will be making one of the most important speeches in his life.
