Unknown individuals forcibly opened the doors of St. Nicholas Church in the center of Gnjilane and took a small amount of money, the police confirmed to KoSSev.
The church’s caretaker reported the incident to the police yesterday after discovering the broken doors and noticing that money was missing.
While the exact time of the burglary remains unclear, the caretaker suspects it occurred two to three days earlier.
„Between February 22 and 25, unknown individuals are suspected of forcibly opening the doors of a religious site (church) and stealing approximately 27 euros in cash,“ the Gnjilane regional police told KoSSev.
Authorities have yet to identify any suspects, and the investigation is ongoing.
