“No just settlement of the Kosovo issue is possible in the prevailing absence of human rights and amid the frantic attempts to make Kosovo another ethnic Albanian land, without Serbs and their Christian heritage,” the Abbot of Visoki Decani monastery, Sava Janjic said. He also underlined that “systematic pressure on the non-majority community continues with impunity.”
Furthermore, the Abbot accused liberal declared Pristina officials of standing in defense of “those whom they themself have recently called criminals,” while also describing Kosovo as “grotesque picture of what the international community allegedly wanted to achieve 21 years ago.”
He commented on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day to emphasise that some 200.000 Serbs and non-Albanians still have not returned to their places of origin even 21 years after the war, due to usurpation of property, lack of security, basic human rights, and other injustices.
He also reminded of the remained ruins following the desecration and destruction of Christian cemeteries and churches.
The abbot’s words were met with severe criticism in the Kosovo press. Thus, the Pristina-based Gazeta Express and Bota Sot published an identical article entitled: „The Abbot who served the Serb government that massacred children, now speaks of human rights.“
While publishing Sava Janjic’s Facebook post from last night in Albanian, they also underlined that the abbot „acted on behalf of the Serb government that hanged and massacred Albanian children“ during the war in Kosovo.
“Regrettably many world politicians turn their blind eye to the most lawless part of the European continent from which due to endemic corruption and mafia-clan rule many Kosovo Albanians would leave en masse at the first opportunity,” the abbot stressed, adding that the remaining Kosovo Serbs are being “bullied on a daily basis in press.”
Systematic pressure on the non-majority community continues with impunity – the abbot alerted.
“Our language is being banished, and our holy sites and history proclaimed ethnic Albanian just to make Kosovo completely ethnically and culturally ‘clean.’ All this with lukewarm international reaction in the world.”
He said that even the most liberal Kosovo politicians stand in defense of those whom they themself “have recently labelled as criminals and who killed their own ones”.
Janjic described Kosovo as “a grotesque picture of what the international community allegedly wanted to achieve 21 years ago.”
“It is almost a fully ethnically cleansed territory where criminal gangs wrap themselves up in the national flag selling lies and spreading ethnic hatred while radical Islam flourishes to the horror of moderate Muslims, providing a power base for attacks in Western Europe,” Janjic added.
He noted that this is all taking place despite an international civilian and military presence and enormous sums of money channeled to Kosovo, assessing the results of such efforts as very poor.
On the other hand, criminal clans “amass incredible wealth and shamelessly want to proclaim themselves champions of freedom and human rights.”
One thing remains only in the opinion of some mighty ones – Serbia just needs to recognize all this that has been going on in the last 21 years as just and acceptable, withdraw its population from Kosovo or leave them to slowly disappear in abandonment and lack of protection, renounce its holiest heritage and take with shame upon herself the role of champion in historical and political stupidity.
